I'm headed up to Montreal the weekend and thought that maybe I could get what I need there. Are there any luthier supply shops in Montreal, or any music shops that stock a fair selection of tools and glue?

Thanks for the help,

   Dan H.

Dan-
For tools and glue, LeeValley (online, or Ottawa?) is probably your best bet for 'non-luthier' stuff.
It's likely you'll get more selection and better prices by buying online/mailorder.
What exactly are you looking for?

Cheers
John (in BC, so not much local knowledge for you in QC(?) )

Hey Dan,

No luthier supply shop in Montreal.  For parts, you can go to Archambault (corner of Ste-Catherine and Berri).  Thsy stock a lot of "allparts" parts.  BTW, mention that you are a luthier and you will receive a discount on parts!

For fine woodworking tools, "Langevin & Forest" is the place.  It is however not downtown.

Send me a PM and I'll be more than happy to send you my cell number if you have other specific requests.  That goes also to other OLF members visiting Montreal this weekend!!!

Langevin and Forest (on Pie IX blvd) has some guitar woods and titebond, nice selection of tools and books. That's about it.
