I'm headed up to Montreal the weekend and thought that maybe I could get what I need there. Are there any luthier supply shops in Montreal, or any music shops that stock a fair selection of tools and glue? Thanks for the help, Dan H. |

Dan- For tools and glue, LeeValley (online, or Ottawa?) is probably your best bet for 'non-luthier' stuff. It's likely you'll get more selection and better prices by buying online/mailorder. What exactly are you looking for? Cheers John (in BC, so not much local knowledge for you in QC(?) ) |

Hey Dan, No luthier supply shop in Montreal. For parts, you can go to Archambault (corner of Ste-Catherine and Berri). Thsy stock a lot of "allparts" parts. BTW, mention that you are a luthier and you will receive a discount on parts! For fine woodworking tools, "Langevin & Forest" is the place. It is however not downtown. Send me a PM and I'll be more than happy to send you my cell number if you have other specific requests. That goes also to other OLF members visiting Montreal this weekend!!! |

Langevin and Forest (on Pie IX blvd) has some guitar woods and titebond, nice selection of tools and books. That's about it. |
